sax for just 7 months when this was recorded.
Mikayla's 2nd Solo (October 2006) - "Frankenstein" - Mikayla had been playing sax for 13 months when this
was recorded. Apologies for the poor video quality.
Mikayla's Tribute to Sonny Rollins (November 2006) - The song is Sonny's own rendition of "Blue Room,"
recorded just 2 days before Mikayla met Mr. Rollins.

Mikayla's First Improvisation (May 2007) - "Song For My Father" - Mikayla's very 1st totally spontaneous
improvisation. She had been play sax for 20 months when this was recorded.
"Funky Cha-Cha" (November 6, 2007) - Mikayla's 1st performance with DV Performance Jazz Ensemble.
"So What" (November 16, 2007) - Mikayla with the DV Performance Jazz Ensemble & guests Joel DiBartolo
(long-time "Tonight Show" bassist) and
trombonist David Williams. Performed at the 2007 Western
Int'l Band
Clinic conference in Seattle, WA.
"Song For Bilbao" (December 2007) - The band had just started playing this song the day before this was
recorded at the band's Winter concert.
"Count Bubba's Revenge" (February 2008) - Performed at the Northern Arizona University Jazz Festival.
(Sax solee at the 1:27 mark).
"Slo-Funk" (February 2008) - Performed at the Northern Arizona University Jazz Festival.
"Joshua" (March 2008) - Mikayla with the DV Performance Jazz Ensemble and guest pianist Mike Kocour.
Recorded at the Deer Valley Jazz Festival.
"Los Hermanos de Bop" (December 2008) - with the DV Performance Jazz Ensemble. This was Mikayla's 1st
soprano sax solo.
